Tyler German commits to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point

ODESSA, TX– Jacks forward Tyler German has verbally committed to play Division III college hockey with the University of Wisconsin-Stevens’s Point.

A native of Canton, Michigan, German came to the Jackalopes looking to make a name for himself. He did that and more as he blossomed into one of the more reliable players for the Jackalopes last season, especially on the penalty kill. German finished the season with 21 points, tallying seven goals and 14 assists.

“Tyler is a heart and soul type player with an outstanding work ethic,” said Jackalopes coach Jason Fortier. “Tyler was loved by his teammates and was voted as Co-MVP. His effort on a nightly basis and potential to be a top tier college player is there.”

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is located in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. The Pointers play at the Division III level and are a part of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. They are six-time national champions with their most recent titles coming in 2016 and 2019.

German will join former Jackalopes Fletcher Anderson and Adam Kolcon with the Pointers this coming season.
