Sjodahl named South Division 2nd Star of the Week

ODESSA, TX – The Odessa Jackalopes, proud members of the North American Hockey League, are pleased to announce that forward Hampus Sjodahl has been named the second star of the week in the NAHL South Division for his three points (2 goals, 1 assist) in two games versus the Corpus Christi IceRays, with a +3 rating. Jacks forward Oliver Celec was named an honorable mention for the first time, posting four points (1 goal, 3 assists). 

Thus far this season, Sjodahl is tied for the team lead in goals (9) and is tied for the team lead in points (15). Sjodahl becomes the fourth Jack this season to be named the Second Star of the Week in the South Division (Eric Carreras, Brandon Tucker, Gunner Rivers). Last year in Odessa, Sjodahl had 34 points (19 goals, 15 assists) in 55 games.

Oliver Celec’s honorable mention is the first such honor this season for the Jacks forward from Gothenburg, Sweden. Through 15 games, Celec has 13 points (6 goals, 7 goals) with a +4 rating. Celec is the third Jack this year to be named a South Division Honorable Mention (Gunner Rivers, (2x) Hampus Sjodahl).
