Odessa, Texas (March 3, 2016) – The Odessa Jackalopes, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that center-man Hampus Sjodahl was named an Honorable Mention for the Easton NAHL Player of the Month for February.
The Stockholm, Sweden native had points in 8-of-9 nine games in the month and currently is on an eight-game point streak. The Bemidji State (WCHA, D1) committed forward led the Jacks in points (12), and goals (7). Sjodahl is tied for second in the NAHL this season in goals (26) with Ryner Gorowsky (Fairbanks) and only behind Todd Burgess (32) (Fairbanks). Sjodahl is the only player in the South Division to reach the 50-point mark (26g, 25a) this season.
The Jacks return home this Friday and Saturday as they take on the Corpus Christi IceRays. On Friday, March 4, the first 500 will receive a Jacks puzzle presented by Southwestern Machine Products and My Country 96.1 FM. Saturday, March 5th is the Jacks Ninja Turtle night and lunch box giveaway night to the first 500 presented by ORMC and Hughes Oilfield and Transportation.
