ODESSA, TX– The Odessa Jackalopes ‘Slapjack’ and members of the Odessa Shrine Club, a unit of El Paso’s El Maida Temple, descended upon the Houston Shriners Hospital for Children last Tuesday. On August 23rd, 2011 the Odessa Shrine Club, in conjunction with Odessa Jackalopes presented a $20,000.00 dollar check to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Houston, Texas. Special thanks are due to Deerhorne Aviation, who provided Slapjack and the Shriners transport to make the presentation in person.
The funds were raised at the 2nd Annual Jackalopes – Shriners Weekend, thanks to Joe Clark, and Tom Snoddy of the Odessa Jackalopes – the 3rd Annual Shriners-jacks weekend is scheduled for 16, 17 March 2012 – come on out and show them your support.
