Shreveport, LA – Kieran Durgan’s power play goal halfway through the third period turned out to be the decider as the Odessa Jackalopes (9-9-1-1) were edged out by the Shreveport Mudbugs (13-4-1-1) at the Hirsch Coliseum, 4-2, on Friday night. This was the first game between the two squads in Shreveport this season.
The Mudbugs got off to a quick start as Zachary Faremouth knuckled one past Brett Epp on the high glove side for the 1-0 lead only 2:40 into the game. It was the quickest goal Odessa has given up this season.

Almost five minutes later, Shreveport took the lead once again, and for the final time. Kieran Durgan shot a one-timer from right in front of the net on the left side of the crease as the Mudbugs netted their eventual game-winner on the power play.
