Odessa, Texas (FEB 5, 2016) – The Odessa Jackalopes, members of the North American Hockey League, have traded 21-year-old defenseman Dakoda Menslage to the New Jersey Titans (NAHL) in exchange for a tender contract. Menslage missed the first 26 games of the season as he recovered from offseason hip surgery before making his debut on December 29.
Menslage had two goals and two assists in 13 games and an -8 rating. The 6’2” 225 lb. d-man was acquired by Odessa last season in a multiple player trade with the Johnstown Tomahawks that included Jacks forward Zach Zech. The Orleans, MA native appeared in 11 games for Odessa last season collecting 2 goals, 5 assists and a -2 rating.
The Jacks take on Wichita Falls for game two-of-three Friday night at Ector County Coliseum starting at 7:05 p.m.
