Jacks Sign First Tender of The Season

Odessa, TX – The Jackalopes, proud members of the North American Hockey League, have signed Benjamin Palmersheim to a tender agreement, effective 2022-23. Palmersheim is from Palm Springs, CA.

 

The 18-year-old is currently playing for the Des Moines Buccaneers 18U AAA where has played in 25 games and tallied 29 points (7g, 22a). He also plays for them in the NAPHL 18U where he has 15 points (6g, 9a) in 12 games. The 5’10”/170lb. left-handed forward was selected to the NAPHL 18U All-Academic Team for the 2020-21 season. Last season, Palmersheim played 62 games for the Buccaneers at the 18U AAA level and recorded 59 points (20g, 39a). Finishing fourth on the team in points that year. In 2019-20, Palmersheim played for Lake Tahoe Academy 18U AAA in the NAPHL 18U (11gp, 7g, 3a) and for them in the ECEL 18U (16gp, 5g, 10a). He also played for Tahoe Prep Hockey Academy (USHS-CA) in 2019-20, totaling 35 points (20g, 15a) in 20 games. He finished second in points while his 20 goals were a team-high.

 

Palmersheim had this to say about signing a tender agreement with the Jackalopes, “I am very excited to be a part of the Jackalopes family as this is something that I have worked to achieve for years. I know there are very good things to come in the near future and I can’t wait to get started.”

 

Head Coach Scott Deur said this regarding Benjamin becoming the first tender signing of the season, “He is a dynamic forward with a lot of upside. He comes from a great organization that has grown and developed him and we are looking forward to continuing his development so he can excel at the next level.” Scott went on to add, “We are excited for Ben to join the Odessa Jackalopes family.”
