Jacks Ship Out For Showcase

ODESSA, TX– After months of preparation and organization, the 2011-12 Odessa Jackalopes are finally ready to take the ice for their inaugural game as a member of the NAHL and the first contest of their 15th Anniversary Season. The Jacks will play their first four regular season games September 14th through the 17th in Blaine, Minnesota as part of the NAHL Showcase Tournament, a four-day league-wide event in which all 28 NAHL teams will drop the puck on the 2011-12 NAHL season.

Fresh off two weeks of training camp, armed with a 22-man roster (included below), the Jackalopes will hit the road in Odessa Friday evening and arrive in Minnesota on Saturday before taking on the South Division rival Corpus Christi IceRays in an exhibition tune-up Sunday at 3pm in Winona, MN as a precursor to the 9th annual NAHL Showcase.

All four NAHL Showcase games and every regular season and playoff game in 2011-12 will be broadcast live on your flagship station for Odessa Jackalopes Hockey, Classic Rock 102.1 FM with "Voice of the Jacks" Tony Brown providing the play-by-play. Radio broadcasts can also be stremed online via the Classic Rock 102 website. All games are also available for viewing online via FastHockey.

The Jacks open their home slate on Friday September 30th against the Corpus Christi IceRays at 7:05 at Ector County Coliseum. Single game and season tickets and mini-plans are still available for the Jacks' 15th Anniversary season. For tickets, call the Jackalopes at 432-552-7825 or log on to www.jackalopes.org.
