(DEC 12, 2015) – The Odessa Jackalopes, proud members of the North American Hockey League, have released gritty fourth-line winger Carter Wade. In a Corresponding move, the Jacks have acquired 6’3” right-wing Brennan Miller from the Melville Millionaires (SJHL) for future considerations.
Wade, 17, made the Jacks out of Main Camp after playing for the Everett Silvertips U16 (Wash.) last season. This year, with Odessa Wade, appeared in 13 games, accumulating one point (1 goal, 0 assists), 20 PIM and -1 rating.
Miller, 19, failed to make Odessa’s roster two years ago out of Main Camp but has spent the last couple of seasons with the Melville Millionaires where he appeared in 59 games tallying 26 points (10 goals, 16 assists). Miller becomes the only Jack on the roster to be from the state of Texas. Miller is from Keller, TX, where he played his youth hockey with the Texas Tornado (NAPHL).
After Saturdays tilt with the Topeka RoadRunners, the Jacks are off until December 29-30 when they travel to Corpus Christi for a pair of games against the IceRays. Odessa will return to Ector County Coliseum on January 1-2 as the Lone Star Brahmas make their first trip to the Permian Basin this season.
In 2015-16, the Odessa Jackalopes will embark upon their fifth season in the North American Hockey League and 19th in the Permian Basin. Season tickets are on sale now!
