Jacks Host Extra Hockey at the Coliseum this Weekend

Odessa, TX – The Odessa Jackalopes are hosting even more hockey this weekend as the Colorado Springs Tigers and the HC Dallas 16U and 18U teams will be playing at the Ector County Coliseum.

The 16U teams will play a best of three series in front of the Odessa fans, as will the 18U teams. The games will take place throughout the weekend, starting Friday, January 27th and finishing on Sunday, January 29th.

This weekend gives these young players a chance to see the Jackalopes organization and what it’s all about.

“It’s a great opportunity for these players, who we don’t get to see in person, to see our facility and what we’re about,” explains President, Kevin Leisgang. “Hopefully we can see some of them in a Jacks uniform in years to come”.

This opportunity will also provide these organizations to build a better relationship with the Jackalopes organization. Odessa will reciprocate the favor and head to Colorado Spring in June an open tryout camp.

“It helps us to build the relationship with the Odessa Jackalopes organization that we admire and respect so much,” proclaims Colorado Spring head coach, Kevin Holmstrom.

It’s a pretty packed weekend at the Coliseum between hockey and Old School Wrestling. You don’t want to miss out on the fun. The 16 and 18 U games are open to the public and have free admission. OSW is free with purchase of a Jackalopes ticket.
