Jacks Announce 12/2 ‘Pink in the Rink’

Oct. 4, 2011

ODESSA, TX – The Odessa Jackalopes, in conjunction with the American Cancer Society, 8th Street Animal Hospital and Ector County Abstract are proud to announce that Friday, Dec. 2 will be “Pink in the Rink” night as the Jackalopes take on two foes at the Ector County Coliseum – the fight against breast cancer and the Jacks’ North American Hockey League South Division rivals the Wichita Falls Wildcats.

The Jackalopes will be wearing specially designed pink jerseys in an effort to help raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society. A post-game jersey auction will be held in the west annex of the Coliseum, and team-autographed pink sticks will also be auctioned off.

“We are targeting this night as a sellout to help raise funds for this great cause,” said Jackalopes GM Joe Clark. “This is something that means a great deal to this community, and the battle against cancer altogether. We appreciate the support, especially from 8th Street Animal Hospital and Ector County Abstract, and hope to make this a great night.”

Tickets for the Dec. 2 game vs. Wichita Falls can be obtained in advance by calling 432-552-7825 or stopping by the Jackalopes ticket office at 4201 Andrews Hwy. in Odessa.

“The Jackalopes have been a great partner in the past for this cause, and we appreciate everything they’re doing for breast cancer and the American Cancer Society,” said Haley Burks-Ragsdale, Community Manager for the American Cancer Society. “We will do everything possible to help make this a big success.”

The Odessa Jackalopes celebrate their 15th Anniversary in 2011-12 and drop the puck on their inaugural campaign as a member of the North American Hockey League.  Season tickets, mini-plans, and single game tickets are available by calling (432) 552-7825 or by visiting the Jacks online at www.jackalopes.org.
