JACKS ACQUIRE HOLCOMBE, KECK FROM THE SOO
Jackalopes send Leo Lumm and Jake Hamilton the other way in deadline deal
ODESSA, TX – The Odessa Jackalopes, members of the North American Hockey League, announce Wednesday that they have traded forward Leo Lumm and defenseman Jake Hamilton to the Soo Eagles in exchange for forward Nick Keck and defenseman Drew Holcombe.
“I like this deal for us.” Said Jacks head coach Greg Gatto. “At 6’3, (Nick) Keck gives us some size and speed up front we were lacking. (Drew) Holcombe gives us another puck-moving defenseman that had some scoring touch in AAA hockey. Being a 1996 birth year, we also got a little bit younger in the process.”
The new Jackalopes Keck and Holcombe will make their debut this Thursday night, when the Jacks host the Corpus Christi IceRays at the Ector County Coliseum at 7:05 pm.
In 2014-15, the Odessa Jackalopes will embark upon their fourth season in the North American Hockey League and 18th in the Permian Basin. Season tickets are on sale now!
