Odessa, TX – The Odessa Jackalopes are excited to announce that February 3rd and 4th, the Jacks are teaming up with the Midland Rockhounds for Legends Weekend. The Jackalopes will be wearing specialty jerseys for both games against the Topeka Roadrunners, sponsored by the Rockhounds.
This is Odessa’s 20th season in the Permian Basin, and they’re expecting to bring some household names back. There will be an alumni game on Saturday, February 4th at 3pm. The legends will take on the Texas Tech University hockey team. A ticket to the Jackalopes game will get you into the alumni game as well.
Players expected to return will include Pascal Bédard, Adam Doyle, Greg Gatto, Nick Lamia, Dan Lavergne, Shayne Lebreton, Donnie Margettie, Billy Pye, Jacque Rodrigue and Brian Swiniarski.
Two long-time coaches will be making their return as well. Joe Clark, currently the general manager of the Topeka Roadrunners, will be coming in with his team to help celebrate the weekend and coach the alumni game. Don McKee will make his return behind the bench with Clark as well.
Come out and meet all your favorite princesses on Friday night at the Jacks game. Following Friday night’s game, the Blue Cats Band will be performing at the Blue Line Bar and Grill at the east entrance of the Coliseum.
Prior to the alumni game, there will be a luncheon for Texas Tech, the Jacks organization, and the media. Following the alumni game, there will be a meet & greet at 5pm at the Blue Line Bar and Grill.
The first 100 fans at the game on Saturday will received a Jackalopes calendar, presented by Southwestern Machine Products
During the first intermission of Saturday’s game, the Jackalopes will introduce all of the alumni in attendance. There will also be a ceremony to dedicate the broadcast booth to Bob Hards, longtime Jackalopes and current Rockhounds broadcaster.
After the game, the Jackalopes will be auctioning off these specialty Rockhounds jerseys on the ice.
If you wear Rockhounds gear to either game this weekend, you will get a reduced, $6 ticket. The weekend could not be possible without Hughes Oilfield helping to sponsor.
This will be your last chance to catch the Jackalopes at home until they come back the weekend of March 3rd and 4th.

3pm – Alumni Game
5 pm – Meet and Greet- Happy Hour at the Blue Line
7 pm – Jacks Game
9:30 pm – Jersey Auction after the game
