Jackalopes tender two forwards for 2020-21

ODESSA, TX – The Odessa Jackalopes are proud to announce the signing of two new tenders for the 2020-21 season!

Forward Cole Simpson comes to the Jackalopes via the Colorado Springs Tigers 18U program in Colorado Springs, Colorado. A native of Wadesville, Indiana, Simpson accumulated 12 points in his last two seasons with the Tigers. Most notably however was his most recent playoff performance. Simpson netted five goals and added another assist for six points in just five postseason games last season.

Forward Robert Pustulka comes to the Jackalopes via the Chicago Fury U18 program. In his previous season with the Fury, Pustulka was a point-per-game scorer netting 12 points (five goals, seven assists) in 12 games.

“Our staff does a great job recruiting,” said Jackalopes interim head coach Adam Phillips. “Between our tenders and the draft, we look for players to fill the appropriate voids in our current roster to build a stronger and more skilled team, and to keep things headed in the right direction for our program as a whole.”

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, plus or minus any trades, which become active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft. (information provided by NAHL.com)
