ODESSA, TX – The Odessa Jackalopes are proud to announce they have tendered forward Gabriel Bennett for the 2020-21 season.
Bennett, a native of Findlay, Ohio, is a veteran of the famed Victory Honda U18 program and is coming off a productive season offensively. This past year Bennett was nearly a point-per-game scorer with 52 points (27 goals, 25 assists) in 61 games with Victory Honda. Bennett also stands tall physically at 6’1”, weighing 185 lbs.
“When recruiting, we look for players with a skill set that will allow them to make plays at the next level,” said interim head coach Adam Phillips. “Compete and hockey IQ are qualities that are very important to us as we evaluate players.”
A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, plus or minus any trades, which become active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft. (Information provided by NAHL.com)
