Jackalopes select three in 2021 Supplemental Draft

ODESSA, TX – On Wednesday June 2, the Odessa Jackalopes added 3 new faces to their roster as a part of the 2021 NAHL Supplemental Draft. The Odessa Jackalopes had the 7th overall pick along with the 44th and 49th overall picks.

The Jackalopes are proud to introduce fans to their picks in the 2021 NAHL Supplemental Draft.

Selected seventh overall in the supplemental draft, Caleb Kean hails from Sussex in the province of New Brunswick, Canada. The ‘01 birth year stands tall at an even 6’0’’ and weighs 163lbs. Kean did not play last season due to COVID 19, but in the 2019-20 he was a standout forward for the Carlton Place Canadians of the Central Canada Hockey League. Kean garnered 17 goals and 37 assists for 54 points, averaging over a point per game. Kean ranked 21st in overall CCHL scoring for the 19-20 season.

 

Selected 44th overall, Riley Wallack is a forward from South Surry, British Columbia. Wallack stands tall at 6’6’’ and weighs 216 lbs. Last season Wallack played with the Cowichan Valley Capitals of the British Columbia Hockey League. Wallack posted five goals and three assists for eight points in 20 games played.

Selected 49th overall, John Larkin is the only defenseman taken by the Jackalopes in the supplemental draft. Larkin is a native of Detroit, Michigan and at 6’1’’, 183 lbs. brings size to the blue line. Larkin played in the United States Hockey League with the Muskegon Lumberjacks during the 2020-21 season. Larkin accumulated 10 points (one goal, nine assists), garnered 55 penalty minutes and was a plus-10 for the Lumberjacks.
