JACKALOPES RELEASE 2014-15 REGULAR SEASON SCHEDULE
Jacks will open in Wichita Falls on September 13; Host Rio Grande Valley on October 30.
ODESSA, TX – Each off-season, there are a few mile markers that signify the beginning of a new season. Two weeks ago, the Jacks added eight new players in the NAHL Draft to bolster the 18th edition of the Odessa Jackalopes Hockey Team. This past week, the South Division owners approved the 2014-15 divisional schedule. For the Jacks, the 2014-15 journey begins in the same setting as last season, inside the Kay Yeager Coliseum in Wichita Falls on Saturday, September 13th. Then, it’s off to Minnesota for the league’s annual Showcase tournament, where hundreds of scouts from the NHL, AHL, ECHL, NCAA DI, and NCAA DIII converge to see the best the NAHL has to offer. The Showcase schedule will be determined at the end of the month.
IMPORTANT DATES:
SEP. 26 AND 27 @ WENATCHEE:
The Jacks faceoff against the newest member of the South Division and make their only trip of the year to the state of Washington.
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 30 VS. RIO GRANDE VALLEY:
Opening night at the Jack Shack will feature the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees, as the Jacks look to avenge last season’s opening night loss to the Bees.
JAN. 29, 30, 31 VS. CORPUS CHRISTI:
Pink in the Rink Weekend: One of the Jackalopes signature events, the Jacks will feature pink jerseys to be auctioned off at the end of the game on the 31st. Monies collected will be donated to a charity yet to be determined.
MAR. 19, 20, 21 VS. CORPUS CHRISTI:
Shriners Weekend: The Jacks are happy to continue our relationship with the Odessa Shrine Club. The Jacks will wear their famous Shriners jersey for a three-game weekend against the IceRays. The weekend will culminate on the 21st, when the Jacks will auction off their game-worn jerseys and make a donation to the Shriners Hospital. It is also Fan Appreciation Night on the 21st. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a Jackalopes team photo.
