ODESSA, TX- The Odessa Jackalopes are thrilled to announce that forward Jack Rudin has made a verbal commitment to Aurora University to play Division III college hockey for the Spartans.
“I’m so excited to spend the next four years at Aurora University,” Rudin said. “I’d like to thank my family, friends, teammates and coaches for the support they’ve given me through my hockey career. I’d especially like to thank Coach Phillips and Coach Smith for their help during the recruiting process.”
Rudin, a native of West Bloomfield, Michigan, has been a steady and reliable presence since joining the Jackalopes in November. His eight points (five goals, three assists) placed him fourth among active Jackalopes forwards at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
Rudin concludes his NAHL career with 15 points over two seasons as a member of teams including the Odessa Jackalopes, the Maryland Black Bears and the Corpus Christi IceRays.
“Aurora University is going to be an outstanding fit for Jack. Coach Bloomingburg has done a great job building their hockey program up and Jack will be a nice piece to the puzzle to keep with the upward trend. He’s an extremely hard worker, a fantastic young man and he has been a pleasure to work with this season. He’s a player that can contribute to the team in any role that he is asked to fulfill,” said Jackalopes Interim Head Coach Adam Phillips. “We are thrilled for Jack and can’t wait to see what he will accomplish in the next four years.”
Aurora University is located in Aurora, Illinois. The Spartans play at the Division III level as members of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association.
